Getting Started & What to Expect

The best way to start is the Start Your Physical Ritual Package, consisting of 4 private pilates lessons and one small group class.

During these sessions you will learn the basic exercises on the Pilates Reformer and the Mat. The exercises do not change; however, your body will. It’s important to gain a mastery of the basics for continued growth. During these sessions we want you to discover something new in your body and build your awareness of your center and how to use it.

How to Proceed

Now that you’re in love with Pilates: Welcome. It only gets better.

You have options at this juncture and it really depends on your personal preference and how much you’d like to invest. You can choose to continue with your one-on-one sessions and we will introduce you to the cadillac, the wunda chair, the ped-o-pul, the foot corrector, the neck stretcher, the spine corrector, and more! All of these apparatus work in conjunction with the Reformer and the Mat building a full Pilates System.

You may feel like you’d like to stick to the Reformer and the Mat and move into our small group class option. This option does require instructor approval for safety reasons.

Or, you’d like to do both. This is our favorite option. Join a weekly group class and build your independence in practicing the Pilates Method. Then, continue with your weekly one-on-one sessions to dig deeper into what corrections your body needs most. Whatever you decide, this work is all about frequency and repetition, making 2-3 sessions a week optimal.

We believe in teaching The Pilates Method as authentically as possible because, simply, that is the only way it works.

Our approach is very disciplined and precise, but we also believe that exercise should be fun and connect your mind, body, and spirit. We have over 1000 certification hours each. We’ve both studied The Method extensively with those who originally studied with Joseph Pilates: Jay Grimes and Romana Kryzanowska. We believe in offering you an experience that builds your awareness so that you can practice The Pilates Method anywhere—It’s a worthwhile investment.

Staying challenged and curious is key to mastering The Pilates Method. The road to building more challenge and correction into your workout is honing in on what feels right in your body. To support your journey fully, we offer monthly workshops in addition to weekly classes to keep your work evolving. 

This is the only workout you’ll need to have the mind, body, and spirit connection you crave. The improvements are vast: more energy, better sleep, improved posture, efficiency in daily movements, lean muscle tone, and most importantly—feeling more like YOU.
